Alex's Worst Day Ever

My mom Leslie and her husband Alex went to the basketball courts of a college to see a game the other day. It wasn’t until they got home that they realized someone had broken into Alex’s car and stolen his computer and tablet. That same day was father’s day and it was also the day Alex got fired from his job. To top it off, Alex and my mom had a long trip planned for the next morning and they would have to stop in the middle to rest. There was no way they could have driven the car with a window broken because the place where they would stop to rest was not the safest, and it’s been rainy lately too. We had to call a 24 hour emergency locksmith to aid us.

Luckily the locksmith guys were able to come right away to help us replace the broken piece of glass the
same night the car break-in happened. Unfortunately, since my mom and her husband had stayed up until late at night they could not leave the house as early as they wanted to. The point of leaving early was so that they could drive during the day light most of the trip. The total trip takes about 12 hours total and because it is winter time they wanted to drive during the day so they could have more visibility on the road.

At the very least, my mom and Alex had a great time being away from home and the rest of us. They rarely have the chance to be on their own on a fun adventure. As soon as they arrived at their destination town they called us to notify they were ok. They bought a postcard for the emergency locksmith guys to thank them for having helped so efficiently and during such a difficult time.

Commercial Locksmith Service

I’m going to be my best friend’s maid of honor this 6th of May and we have been running around together taking care of all the wedding preparations. One thing that we had not gotten a chance to do is order the wedding cake! Assuming we had still plenty of time before the wedding (about 4 weeks) we went to the bakery store to pick the cake but we had a very interesting experience. We arrived at the time of opening the store and caught the owner right when he was about to enter when he realized he didn’t have the keys to the store. Unalarmed, we waited for him to call a commercial locksmith so we could all get in.

We started chatting with Robert, the baker, and we realized he was a very sweet man (no wonder he was a
baker!) He told us the story about how he comes from a family who has been in the bakery business for generations. Robert did go to school to be a registered nurse and to eventually be a doctor because he knew he always wanted to help other people somehow. But when his mom got very sick he had to take over her bakery store so as to not lose the family tradition while continuing going to school. It was then that he discovered the beautiful art of baking, which he then found that was an easy way to make others smile and that cooking in a way was like making lab experiments. After this Robert quit school and with a strong passion and new creative ideas he turned his mom’s bakery in the most popular in El Paso.

As soon as the commercial locksmith company arrived, we were able to get in to Robert’s bakery. It was decorated in such a way that you almost felt as if you were in a magical shop. He also made different types of candies which Rosy, my best friend, and I thought would be a good idea to get as wedding souvenirs. We are going to have a very sweet wedding, literally!

The Locksmith that Saved the Night

It was my younger sister’s senior prom dance and I was the chaperone for the night. She wore this beautiful blue and white dress with princess like silver shoes. She had perfectly planned everything for that night, from her outfit and the activities before and after the dance. We went to have dinner with her friends before the dance at a very delicious and high end vegetarian restaurant (you know, because you want to still watch your figure up to the date of your dance prom). After that fun and memorable dinner we went back to the car to head to El Paso High school I realized I left the keys inside. My sister freaked out badly; everything she had planned had worked accordingly but this was my fault. We needed to find the nearest automotive locksmith service in El Paso as soon as possible if we wanted to arrive to prom on time.

I was not feeling very well. I thought “I ruined my little’s sister big night!” Fortunately, the guys at El Paso Texas Locksmith arrived shortly after we called them and provided the speediest automotive locksmith service ever. We arrived at the prom on time and without any further mishaps. My little nerdy sister forgot that she had included in her ridiculously perfect schedule for the night some additional time for any problems that could arise during the night.  I think she is going to make a great manager at an airlines company or something like it because for her, time management is everything!

In the meantime, I will continue doing what I’m truly good at which is professional dancing and organizing other entertainment events. We are actually known for not being very punctual, so I’m safe in that sense! Check out the “kids” prom picture. Don’t they look lovely here? Thank you to the El Paso automotive locksmith service for making our night!

A Family's Worst Nightmare: Break-ins

There are a millions ways to handle break-ins in the middle of the night, but it is easier set than done.  Adrenaline starts to kick-in, your mindset is not as it usually is, and your emotions starts take the best of you.  The reality is that no one is prepare for these types of situations, because they should happen in the first place. The only thing that one can do is to as best prepare as possible. That is why knowing a reliable locksmith to come in a do a great job is priority for all. From the installation process and all throughout, a locksmith can provide that security that your house needs.

A trustworthy residential locksmith is a top priority for me and should be for most homeowners – especially if it can provide a 24 hour service. How comfortable would it make you feel it you knew that you could call a locksmith at any time of the night to come and do whatever it is that needs to get done? Well, that would have me sleeping a little better at nights.  I had a break-in experience a couple of years ago, fortunate for me the burglars didn’t make it pass the front door because the alarm went off and scared them away. But, they caused damage and I had some repair was needed for the locks of the front door.

So, I was fortunate enough to have this 24 hour residential locksmith that I’ve known for a while and has a solid company – nothing but professionals that know what they are doing.  They came in the middle of the night, did repaired the break-in damage on the front locks and that was that. Sleep real good that night and haven’t had any more of those experiences again – and hopefully won’t for the rest of my life. But, going back to what I was stating earlier – knowing a trustworthy locksmith really helped out that night and the fact that I was able to count on them in the middle of the night.

24 Hour Emergency Locksmith

If you’re like most people, you often have the necessity to call a locksmith from time to time – although quite frustrating because this means that you’re locked out of somewhere and can’t continue to do what is needed until this gets fixed.  Through statistics we’ve come to find out that most people need a locksmith most of the time in the evenings and mornings. This is mainly due because you come home from work tired and without even realizing it, forget the keys in your car – then it’s only a matter of time when you find out that you’re missing the car keys.

Sometimes you remember that you may have left them in the car, head to look for the keys only to realize that the keys are locked inside the car. Or if you’re like me, realize only till the morning when you’re heading out of the house and realize that you don’t have the car keys with you – this is the worst time, as you may imagine that one is in a hurry to get to work.

That is why it’s always good to have the number to a 24 hour emergency locksmith, because you never when it’s going to come in handy.  Whether it’s in the morning, just went everything seemed ok and ready to head off to work – only to find out that you can’t since your car keys are inside your car.  Whether it’s in the evening, after a hard day’s work – you come home, prepare dinner and watch a little T.V.  Before crashing and going to bed, you remember that you left your wallet inside the car and need to go get it – only to find out that not only your wallet is in the car, but also the car keys.  Well, doesn’t it come in handy to have a 24 hour emergency locksmith in El Paso that one can call up and get your problem solve in a quick and effective manner? Of course it comes very much in handy having a reliable locksmith company that works around the clock to attend to your every need – whether it’s in the morning, afternoon or evening.

Reinforcing Locks

There is never a shortage of actions that one can take to prevent break-ins, but the most reliable ones are to strengthen your deadbolt and lockset.  Crime has reached new heights, and break-ins seem to be a common threat nowadays.  As a matter of fact, a close family member of mine just had their house broken into around midnight down in El Paso.  Lucky for them they were able to call a 24 hour emergency locksmith in El Paso to replace the deadbolt and lockset of the house.

Sometimes you never really realize how simple it is to kick in a solid door until you’ve seen it happen – and if you’ve seen it happen, I’m guessing it’s quite late at that point.  The key here is to first check all exterior doors – a secure entry starts with a solid door with a grade 1 deadbolt.  So if you don’t already have this in place, my suggestion would be to remove the existing deadbolt and replace it with another one that is grade 1.  It is highly recommended that you reach out to a residential locksmith to perform this type of task, after all, they are the professionals!

Once the existing deadbolt has been removed, replace it with the new one and also replace the lockset strike plate, along with the deadbolt strike plate.  This is exactly what the locksmith down in El Paso had done at my family member’s house.  In addition, they installed a peephole for extra security, so that they may be able to see who’s knocking at the door.  It is also recommended that you replace the knob from time to time, just to be extra careful.

A Reliable Locksmith in El Paso

What is a reliable locksmith? Living in El Paso and having experience with many different locksmiths, I can tell you what I have found makes a locksmith reliable. A couple of times I have been through lock outs and I know how stressful those situations can be. With nobody to recommend a reliable locksmith in El Paso, I have been forced to call random companies in the hope that they actually know what they are doing and that they charge what I consider a fair price for their services. Sadly, that was not the case for me the first two times I got locked out of my car.

The first time I got locked out of my car it was about 2am. I had gone out and when I was about to go back
home I realized my keys were not in my pocket. At first I thought I might have dropped them so I looked everywhere without any luck. Then I went to my car to see if I had mistakenly left them inside. Turns out I had. At 2am I called the first locksmith I found on Google. He came over quickly but when he was done with the job he overcharged me. Then he said the price goes up for calls late at night but I still thought it was an unreasonable price.

Then the second time I got locked out of  my car happened in the supermarket. As I was putting the groceries in the trunk, I also happened to put my keys in there and  closed it. I contacted a different locksmith this time and while  the price was fair he took forever to get to me. When I called they said they’d be there in about twenty minutes and the guy who assisted me actually came one hour later.

Based on these experiences I think that a reliable locksmith is someone you can trust, someone who is ready to assist you whenever you call. Also, I think a reliable locksmith will never take advantage of the situation you are in and will always charge a reasonable price. I also believe that you should look for a locksmith with manners, who is courteous, and answers all your questions.

What to do When You Get Locked Out of Your Car

If for some reason you get locked out of your car the best thing you can do is contact a reputable locksmith and he will probably let you in within a few minutes. For an experienced professional like El Paso Locksmith, opening your car lock when you have left the keys inside is not a challenge. Experience teaches them the best methods to open locks without breaking them.

Many people make the mistake of calling roadside assistance because they offer service in case you get locked out. So why shouldn’t you go for this option? The reason is that they will probably charge you a lot more than a regular locksmith.

In case you get locked out of your car and you don’t know any locksmith in your area, then you should start
calling your friends and relatives. One of them probably knows a good locksmith that can assist you and it’s always good you contact somebody who is well-known and recommended to you. If nobody you know is familiar with any good locksmith then you have to take a chance and look one yourself. You should look it up online and be guided by reviews. Reviews will let you know what other people think of a locksmith’s service so you can guide yourself by them if you don’t have any other option.

I also think it’s a good idea to contact a couple locksmiths and compare rates. You don’t want to pick the one that charges the higher price but don’t go for the lowest one either because that might be an indicator of poor service or skills.

The Best Way to Find a Locksmith

Most people do not have the number of a reputable locksmith, or any locksmith for that matter, on their phone and it is until they need one that they start to look for one. But with so many available options it is hard to pick one, but even harder to know how to pick the right one. The services a locksmith provides are very important because they will either provide you with safety or expose you to risk. Because of this, when it comes to choosing a locksmith you really shouldn’t go for the cheapest one because he’s probably less experienced and less knowledgeable.

In order to find a good, reliable locksmith you need to know what questions to ask and what to do. For
instance, make sure you always ask if they are licensed. Locksmiths need a license to operate so before anyone performs any task on your locks request to see it. Also, before even contacting one, you should make sure they are licensed and you can do this by going to findalocksmith.com. That is the official site for the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA).

The Associated Locksmiths of America Inc. is an international professional organization of highly qualified security professionals engaged in consulting, sales, installation and maintenance of locks, keys, safes, premises security, access controls, alarms, and other security related endeavors. In order to qualify as a member, you must pass an extensive background check and many other requirements. Given the dangerous society we live in, I think it is extremely important that we do not hire some random person who is not certified to open the locks to our house or to even come near us. Follow these tips to find the best locksmith!

Finding the Right Locksmith For You

There must be hundreds, if not thousands of locksmiths in your town. With such great variety it can be hard knowing whom to choose. But there are some steps you can follow to make sure you get the best possible locksmith. And be smart and select one before you even need it. This will save you a lot of trouble since you won’t have to waste time looking for one when you are locked out of your car or home.

While there are several locksmiths that say they cover long distances you should not pick one who is too far away. This is because of two reasons:

1.       He will probably charge you more money if he has to travel like 50 miles to get to you.

2.       If it’s an emergency and you are locked out of your home or car you don’t want to wait for a locksmith who is coming from far away and will take forever to assist you.

While most locksmiths are available 24/7, some aren’t. Make sure you select one who is because emergencies can happen when we least expect them. Another thing you should do is to get referrals or check reviews online to see what other people think of the service of a particular locksmith. That will save you from rude, unprofessional locksmiths.

Finally, I suggest having the number of at least two locksmiths in your area in your phone. Even if they offer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you don’t know if they will be available when you call them. What if they are serving another customer and it is going to take them a while. You wouldn’t want to waste time waiting more than you have to so it would be good if you knew someone else you could contact.
